Kay Thomas

CLIENT representative

Rest in peace.
April 14, 1949 - November 26, 2023

Kay joined NMCM as a Client Representative in September of 2021.

Kay was born in Northwest Missouri, lived in Denver for several years, and eventually moved to Kansas City. After finishing high school, she graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a BS in Elementary Education. She taught at West Platte RII School District, Weston, MO. for 13 years. Kay made a career change after leaving the classroom but continued to use her education degree. She sold educational software to K-12 schools, finishing her career as a VP of Sales. As part of her job, she was responsible for event planning for her multi state region which required her to use her organization skills and pay close attention to detail.

Kay also worked for United Bank of Denver, managing the first CRT department, and United Missouri Bank.

She is an advocate for Northwest Missouri State University.  She is past president of the Northwest Alumni Board of Directors and former member of Northwest Foundation Board.

Kay is a “people person”.  She enjoys reading, refinishing furniture and “patio gardening” in the summer.
